The “Rebuild” appears to be in its last stages

I get the sense this team will come storming out the gates to start the season. They’ll come back to earth, of course, but this is a hungry bunch with a lot they want to prove.

it all depends on Dach....if he stays healthy, then yes.....
 
Habs will battle for a wildcard spot down to the last weekend IMO, unless there’s another Dach type season wipeout injury to a core player
 
Remember that Dach also hasn't played in a year so I'm expecting him to be used a lot at camp.
 
The problem with fans, not just of this team but all teams, is that they look at their own team in a vacuum. Sure, the Habs will probably be better than last season (they couldn't be much worse, after all) but it's not like all the teams around them did nothing to try and improve this summer. And saying that certain teams will "drop off" this season doesn't mean they're going to drop so far that the Habs will catch up to them. So I would not be the least bit surprised if we wind up with another top 10 pick next summer. We still have some deadwood to get rid of before we're ready to push for greater things. Joshua Roy is being touted as a potential top 6 forward this season. Well, if that's true then this team is still garbage because Roy is barely an NHLer of any sort, let alone a top 6.
 
He's a middle six guy with great PP awareness. I expect him to be on the second unit soon enough. May even kill penalties too.

I'm my mind he's a great third line winger with spot duty up the lineup.

Yup and with Beck you need those smart 2 way players on your team

I think WIFI`s brother may surprise as well

Habs are fixing the the important components on th top 4 D and top 6 F , the bottom 6 is the easier to fix

Maybe Guhle up with matheson. Move savard back and play Hutson with him ??

Logan wont be up unless there are injuries and or Savard gets moved at the deadline

Struble and Hutson are waiver exempt so that helps

Hugo needs to capitalize on Matheson`s value at some point , last true chip to score biggie in a trade
