The faces behind the words.....

You're just trying to live vicariously through Zeke's hair because your buttoned down corporate whore environment doesn't allow you to grow hair like that.

To each their own... But imo a grown man really should have relatively short hair. Unless you're a musician or in the arts in some way and want to be taken seriously you gotta look respectable.

you wussies. there's plenty of successful dudes in your respective industries with long hair.

We'd all feel more comfortable in our pyjamas or our robe and slippers. However we also all realize that we wouldn't be taken seriously if we walked around in a snuggy. Hair is no different, like it or not you are judged on your appearence and long hair is frowned upon by many people who you probably would rather not have looking down at you. There are plenty of ways to express oneself that doesn't negatively affect your career or personal life.

I bet even you wouldn't get fired if you decided to grow your hair this week.

Oh no... Nobody is getting fired for long hair. You may miss opportunities due to long hair, neck tattoos, piercings, dressing like a bum or talking like a stoner. Again though, to each their own, if it makes you happy go for it and deal with the consequences the best you can.

Most of the guys with long hair in my sector are criminal defence lawyers. I don't do criminal defence work, except for the odd spousal assault case.

If you're presentable and speak well, you can pull off long hair, even in a more corporate environment.

"Pull off" and "maximizing ones potential for upward mobility".....are two different things.

There are a plethora of variables that go into corporate success, and obviously presentation is one of them.
