The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

So Montreal is better.

Well not really, no.

Leafs have scored 11 actual goals but "should" have scored 21 in 5 games which would put them at or near the top of the conference offensively. Montreal has scored 4 actual goals and should have 11-12 goals scored in 5 games, which is obviously not at or near the top of the conference.

Basically Montreal's offence "should" have been as good as what Toronto's offence has played like (that we're all complaining about) so far.

Just 5 games in, not much to really dissect.

It's possible the "lessons learned" from previous years = don't give so many shits about what happens in October. Save it for May.

And maybe Keefe ain't the right guy. After watching him in that one Amazon episode, I got Michel Therrien vibes. Might be time for Dubas to start looking for his next version of Dan Bylsma. I get that Keefe was supposed to be that guy...but IMO, there's a big diff between coaching AHLers and guys making $10M/year.

We’re 5 games in and currently by pt% we are not in the playoffs. It IS just 5 games but we are in a highly competitive division and a team like Florida(that we will be battling) are storming out of the gate. All the points count.

So you're underperforming worse, Montreal is clearly the better shitty team.

You know I was kidding right?

Remember when I said Florida will be good and was told they don't have goaltending? Good times.

OK, so we faced Pittsburgh with nearly a fully healthy lineup, while the Pens were missing all of their best players, and still managed to not only lose, but get blown out. That's nicely "Leafy".

So the next "Leafy" thing that's going to happen is Fred shutting us out on Monday, right?
Correct.
