The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

So we're gonna give him credit for being the team mvp for a bunch of games he didn't play in? I'm sure he scored quite a few xImaginary goals during those games, though.

They sure as fuck didn't play better for a while after he returned, either. Now end of season, unless it's Jack it will almost certainly be Matthews. That is not the question that was asked, though.

Where did you get that from?

Didn't play games = lose more
Played games = win more

He didn't get his summer training, missed camp recovering from surgery and after starting slow for a few games quickly started playing like the best 2 way centre in hockey and oddly, we started winning a whole lot. We turned when he turned.
 
Somethings not good about a stat that says a guy with 10 pts in 20 games is almost as good offensively as a guy with 25 pts in 23 games.
 
So you're saying via this stat sheet that Auston Matthews has the same WAR this season as Connor McDavid.

WAR measures more than just points, but it is the most important stat.

Auston Matthew has played 21 games and has 13 goals and 9 assists for 22 points, with 93 SOG.

Connor McDavid has also played 21 games, and has 15 goals and 25 assists for 40 points, 80 SOG.

How do you explain that?
