Lyubushkin is the new Zaitsev.

It's a fucking requirement that Mo has to drag a terrible "babysitter" around who in most cases leave Toronto and have their next team promptly realize that they're terrible. Hunwick, Hainsey, Zaitsev, Ceci...Brodie broke the chain for a bit, but now we're back with Lyubushkin.

Hunwick was the funniest. Surgically attached to Mo for two entire seasons by Babs, and signed to a decent (for him) UFA contract as a result.

Then didn’t last half a season in Pittsburgh before they realized he wasn’t even an NHL caliber player.
 
Forgot the OG Mo babysitter as well....Phaneuf in his last season here. Steep decline to the end of his career from when he left.
 
Brodie was great! But they struggled vs top comp. Rielly-Tim sheltered would do just fucking fine but what do I know

Leafs got this. They'll need to weather a first period onslaught likely but as long as they don't go down 3 again they'll pull this out my thinking is they really don't want to have to play another game 7.
