If he feels that he can play, he's still young enough to get another contract after this one. If he ends up being Robidas-ed this year, then his career is over. That's the main reason why people feel he might fight it.
 
Robidas, Lupul and Horton will all start the season on LTIR says everyone on twitter. No media availability for Lupul today.

Lamoriello says Lupul tried a comeback but still had discomfort after sports hernia surgery, failed physical. Says Lupul will release a statement shortly.

Yeah but knowing how Naz usually talks it's probably just a general statement he made. As in, well looks like everyone is here for camp so yeah Lups is ready to go(without checking if indeed he was healthy and all). I don't think there's anything else to it.
 
I don't get why anyone would think this is a weird thing to say....if you get asked a question about Lupul, what else are you going to do? Talk about his injuries? Why would a player get into shit like that.

It was so probably said in respoused to a question that was asked because of the information that was released last night.

I said it was weird. Mind apparently has some sort of disagreement with everything I say. I think he thinks I'm someone else. Also, Kadri was asked the question well after Lupul released his statement.

Nope. When I posted the Kadri quotes above, Lamoriello had announced that Lupul was not healthy and would be on IR, but Lupul's statement hadn't yet been released.
