The Mental Midget/RC/Dolt thread

Although I guess that no watch is also a statement. You should either wear no watch at all or a nice watch. Wearing a cheap watch or one that doesn't fit you is worst than wearing no watch.

It goes with your style...you can pull off a cheaper watch if it makes sense with the style you're trying to exude.

Like on weekends when I go out in cargo shorts and flip flops I wouldn't wear a Breitling

Yeah... and it works great for a poor(ish) guy like me. Hell, for our wedding she wanted to wear costume jewelry and I put my foot down and took her to Swarovski for some decent stuff. It was still only like $1,200 for a necklace, bracelet and earings... but she only wanted to spend like $100. So while the stuff we got wasn't really high end, it was a lot more than she was going to spend.

My girlfriend idea of shopping is to go thrift store hunting. I'm not complaining.

My wife isn't too materalistic, she only has 5 Michael Kors handbags, one Prada and one Vuiton

I want my women to be materialistic because in my mind it means she cares about her appearance to the extent of extending it to her possessions.

If a women cares about having Prada sunglasses, LV bags and Jimmy Choo shoes for instance I really doubt she's not taking care of her body, face, looks.

Like it or not we all want attractive partners

You can be attractive without being into luxurious brands. My women are generally simple in their taste but have great style. It also probably helps that I've never dated a women that had much money! :)

But you can care about looking nice while not caring about designer clothes and jewelry. While you're correct that most materialistic women are likely to take care of herself physically. Being "un-materialistic" and looking good is not that uncommon.

I know a lot of attractive women who take very good care of themselves and don't care about high fashion at all.

No kidding, there are plenty of hot pretty women that don't care about high fashion... actually, in my experience some of the ones that care about being fashion conscious to the extreme have good body's but so-so facial features.

True dat to everything you guys said...

My co -worker is a nudist...no joke

He goes to his resort up north each weekend in summer and everyone and I'm sure he finds beauty in all shapes and forms with out all the material stuff

I assure you that's not true. I may have found the only one who isn't but my wife definitely is not materialistic. I was pretty poor when we met and still am far from wealthy. Hell, I am the one that wants to by her nice things and she won't let me.

She's not the only one. Plenty out there. Count is just attracted to dominas.

Great news.....Therrien's contract will be extended this summer....Krusty and Habsy will be happy

Gotta give Therrien some credit here, we beat a superior Boston Bruins, lead by a good coach in Claude Julien, with a good game plan and superior work ethic. Therrien might get a bad rep around here at times with questionable in-game decisions but for the most part, his team has been well prepared before the game, have a good game plan going in the game, and his team is generally well disciplined with a good work ethic. He does make mistakes, I won't deny any of them, but his team generally comes out to play with, most times than not, a good game plan against the opposition. I think he deserves some credits here, if only for the amount of criticisms he had to suffer over the past two years.
