The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

Comtois, fisher, steel and sprong should all be looked at. There’s a real opportunity to add young guys with some skill to the bottom six this off season. I think all those guys are looking at 1m tops.

The problem i think with this lot of early 20's FA is that bad teams with cap room, can afford to give them more money, and more opportunity to play and climb up the lineup than Toronto can.

I'd like to think if Chicago is willing to overpay Foligno and Perry, they'd be willing to overpay a recently cut kid they like on a 2-3 year deal and outbid teams that are financially handcuffed

Lol at the team that gives him $3x2

Can’t blame Luke for chasing the bag after years of hovering around the league min. Pretty clear that he has been better than a fringe 6. His agent has fucked him.
the funny thing is whoever signs him probably watched him for Toronto and built him up based on that play.

Feels Oilery.

These guys were all let go by teams that have tons of cap space because they didn’t want to pay them $2m.

But that doesn't preclude other teams with cap space from feeling different.

regardless, it behooves the player to go to the place that can offer the most ice, presuming these are short term deals, and it behooves a team with space to overpay by a bit to get their guy.
