was Treliving likely a guy that had been in consideration before any decision was made on or by Dubas? sure. The idea that Shanny would have been totally unprepared in the case that dubas wasn't coming back was obviously dumb.

that's not what he said. he said that's the first time he really was forced to consider not re-hiring his boy dubas that he had always fought for.

obviously over the course of 5 years, and a full season of his GM on an expiring deal, there would have been due diligence done on other candidates.
