despite being trash for 2 years running, he still has more playoff points than 34 and 88.
i think if they bow out tomorrow nobody can be off limits, but you can't go out set on dealing a guy like marner.
and there's no fuggin way i trade him for jack eichel.
that's like trading hiv for full blown aids.
Yeah I can't wait to not have players like matthews and marner again, like my entire life before them.
Yeah, it's been so great! Think of all the spreadsheet arguments they help you win.
Campbell has shown balls. I think Brodie has been a pain in the ass too.Willy has ironically been the only guy who has shown any semblance of balls this series.
Go figure.
We did the whole leadership/vet/gudpro additions this year.
The leadership/gud pro people are the only ones playing hockey right now.
We did the whole leadership/vet/gudpro additions this year.
try again but stay away from guys way past their prime
bottom 6 guys don’t need to be cup chasers who want to go back home
Wait...what?
Morgan Rielly & William Nylander have been our best players, and by a lot. Spezza, Kerfoot & Muzzin with honourable mentions.
Thornton has been unplayable, Simmonds barely playable, Nash unplayable, Foligno hurt but entirely uninspiring since he put on a Leaf jersey.
Basically all of our bodies that are here because solely of the leadership, grit, tenacity, blah fucking blah (all the shit that we supposedly lacked from our depth players) have been tremendously meh. Passengers or worse.
We got slow and unskilled for some reason. Our best bodies in this series have been our fastest and/or most skilled outside of M&M.
It's perfectly fine to sign those guys and give them a try. In theory, it should be a no-risk scenario with the potential upside being that you end up with a guy like Spezza who contributes far above the level of his NHL minimum salary.
But then it's no longer a no-risk scenario if you don't have the balls to sit them out when they're clearly not helping the team.
Imagine his name was Vladimir Ruskipuk... he would have been scratched months ago.
Guys like Kerfoot and Spezza who I would classify as leadership
