The Motherfucking 2021 Season Thread

I don't think Zach is going to take much less than market value to stay here. he's the exact, exact type of player you can't overpay though.

wonderful story though as I'm quite sure there has never been a pro athlete who underwent successful foot-hand reversal surgery.

Hyman is the exact type of player Lou loves to overpay and would fit in perfect with the Islanders style

Wouldnt shock me to see him make a big bid

Isn't the expansion draft before the UFA period starts? If so, Hyman won't get to market.

Either way, once Seattle is dealt with, he'll resign.

I dunno. The Isles are pretty capped out, with no major money set to come off the books after this season. Don't see where Lou would be able to find the money to offer a big overpay to Hyman.

If he could though, agreed that Hyman is the exact kind of player Lou would love to offer way too much money to.

Yeah the Isles are gonna lose a couple guys just to be able to re-up Pelech on a new deal.

They can't add anything for a long while.

I think Hall can do what he wants as he has a ntc, so he can tell buffalo, I only want to go to Toronto.

Lou would have held onto Marleau and squeezed Marner into a bargain bridge contract. Nylander would also be clean shaven, and sporting a military buzzcut.

Buy the dip Kyle!!!

Makes sense that there isn’t a strong market for him.

For Buffalo, it’s a bad combination of Hall having a godawful season, and having a cap hit that even at 50% retained would be tough for most contenders to fit it.

I think they get a first to make the numbers work either through retention or taking on shit cap hits to balance the books

Hall + Ullmark for Freddy + 1st + stuff

50% retention on the Buffalo end of the trade makes it work according to Capfriendly's trade checker.

Ullmark is hurt right now but is travelling with the team and back to full practices.

guess chasing Hall's one superstar season is still a thing. all the talent in the world, but doesn't seem to impact the team he plays on much.

Name a team he's played on that hasn't been horrific. I wouldn't expect to get his MVP season (though there's a better chance of seeing that form from him here than just about anywhere else). Just normal run of the mill 1st line 25/45 Hall would be fine by me.
