In addition to being very racist it's also very stupid, but those two things go hand in hand

I guess the problem begins with the unwillingness to accept that objective measures of performance point to him not actually performing like shit.

To be fair to LOF, he does have a history of latching onto certain players, hating them with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns and being impervious to any facts or objective measures that show that these players aren't the useless pieces of shit LOF thinks they are.

Those previous players (Leivo & Beauchemin are two that come to mind off the top of my head, but I know there's been more) have all been generic white dudes as far as I can recall.

On the other hand, while I kind of wanted to give LOF the benefit of the doubt that his Simmonds hate was just the same kind of thing with a player who just happens to be black, the "affirmative action" commentary makes it pretty hard to believe that.
