Maybe it's a typo, or maybe i'm blind, but I can't find Bobby Ryan on the list anywhere.

I'd suggest their 70+ point season had more to do with playing with Kovalchuk and not with their level of talent.

Kozlov was a good offensive hockey player who had more than 70 points 5 times in his NHL career. Playing with Kovalchuk helped, no doubt, but this wasn't a case of Kovalchuk playing with Tyler Bozak. Antropov as well, had shown the ability to be a 60-65 point player as a Leaf (when healthy). Todd White though, sure.

Throw Maxim Afinogenov into the mix as well, as a 60+ point player who Kovy spent time with in Atlanta. Bottom line, Kovalchuk played with much better talent in Atlanta than Kessel has played with in Toronto overall. If Kessel played with 70+ point guys instead of 50 point guys, there's a good chance his production would go up from it's current ~85 point level.

To be fair, that list is utter garbage. Bergeron the 8th best forward in the league? A joke. That said, Ryan not being on the list at all is quite telling.

BTW Eriksson should be highlighted in yellow, not black.

The Canadian media does a terrible job of reporting on hockey. Volume does not equal quality coverage.

I love hockey, but when sportscentre leads their show with highlights from an intersquad preseason scrimmage, I just shake my head.
