The New Division

Against a far better opponent and significantly better goalie. Kadri probably should have put up double digits in points against Montreal.

And we know how he fares against Ottawa. :lol

Rookie scoring:

1 Nail Yakupov - 48 GP, 17 G, 14 A, 31 PTS, -4
2 J. Huberdeau - 48 GP, 14 G, 17 A, 31 PTS, -15
3 C. Conacher - 47 GP, 11 G, 18 A, 29 PTS, +3

Why would anyone have any kind of optimism over that player?

The kind of player that put up 5 points in 12 games with the Sens after 24 in 35 games with Stamkos & St Louis? I have no idea why anyone would be particularly optimistic about a 5'8 175 pound winger lacking elite tools who saw his production fall off the planet after he left the wing of two of the top 10 offensive talents in the NHL.

or one that did:

1 Jean-Gabriel Pageau - 10 GP, 4 G, 2 A, 6 PTS, +4

in the playoffs?

Crazy.

Because he had 29 points in 69 AHL games?

Crazy indeed. I see 2 midgets without any individual elite tools who put up a total of 9 points in 21 games with the Sens last year, you see players to be excited about?

Have fun with that.

Love how Conacher gets dismissed because he didn't keep up his pace from Tampa.

He still played okay in Ottawa - but the real reason to be excited about him is his play in the AHL.

PPG players in the AHL have a chance.
