Hes 33 this season and handles the puck like a grenade. Can we get younger there? Capitalize on his value while replacing him.

All of them can go. McCabe isn’t the first guy I’d move.

Benoit is already replaced by Tanev this year. Myers should be replaced by Villeneuve/Chadwick/Danford.

Add two good mobile top-4 dmen to replace Stecher and Carlo and we're looking real good.
 
We had just watched Domi be our best player in the Florida series. I agree that he looked grim this year, but the point of him was never that he could carry a line. It was that on a line with 2 other good players he could compliment them well enough and he is willing to run through brick walls in the playoffs. He's a meathead Kerfoot who turns it up a notch in big games

I mean...over our last 2 playoffs:

Max Domi: 20 GP, 4G, 11PTS
John Tavares: 20 GP, 6G, 9PTS

I'm entirely good with moving on from him as long as it doesn't cost us assets, but his biggest problem is that you can't expect him to do exactly what we asked him to do this year: Actually be an important forward that has to carry water on a line. He's purely, purely a complimentary player than can work with higher skill players without tripping over his dick.
 
Slot him correctly as a 3rd line winger and he is fine at what he makes.

Trotchek or Zibanijad whomever is faster and stronger
That's a strong line up and Matthews would love to play with p. Kane.
If you get Kane for Matthews then you get Zibanijad for Willy. Make both of your stars happy

thing is Domi and Joshua weren't remotely the same category of player last year, at least. Joshua performed like a solid 3rd liner, Domi performed like a bad 4th liner.
