Waddell Resigns as Pres/GM ... Tulsky named interim GM

Clay Lavalette dropped an interesting name for team President in his article yesterday . Mike Forman. He’s currently the Chief Marketing Officer. So all of marketing, including the social media team reports to him.

Forman is pretty much a Canes lifer and has done a great job building the brand regionally. Not sure that qualifies him for the President's role, but it all but guarantees him an interview if he's interested.

One other thought on interviews ... I think Corey is correct that Dundon will want to talk to both Tulsky and Yorke before he makes up him mind on GM. With Carolina's approach to player personnel, both of them have had a voice and it's impossible for those of us on the outside to really quantify how much either of them influenced final decisions. Brindy will also have a say in the final decision, for sure. From the outside loking in, it very much would appear to be Tulsky's job if he wants it, but Carolina's management doesn't lend itself to transparency.

One more memory of Don Waddell - remember when there was an apparent overproduction of Storm Brew (hmmm, wonder why?) and the Canes were selling cases at a huge discount in the PNC parking lot? Well, I bought a couple of cases and who was helping load them into the trunk of the cars but Donny Waddell! I thanked him for that and for the job he was doing, and he was exceptionally gracious.

I still have most of my case of that crap. I’ve used it for long braises in the slow cooker but that’s about it.
