I’m not convinced that’s all they will go with…that’s not going to cut it. Great value at $1.5 million for Raanta but you’re not getting more than 30-35 starts max, is Pyotr ready for 50 starts as the lead dog yet?

Can they have three goalies active on the roster? I don't know what they will do with Kochetkov if they sign another goalie.

And Ottawa just gave Korpisalo 5 years at $4m per so the Freddy and Raanta duo under $5 m is great value as a tandem. Having three capable NHL goalies on your team is pretty smart when you look at injuries and such.

Oh, the money spent on terrible goalies by any number of teams today has brought me all the away around on this. I'm past fine and now fully satisfied that Carolina did the right thing in bring back their trio.

All three goalies played basically the same number of games last season. There's absolutely no reason 23-24 should be much different.
