Yeah not a fan of the back end, but they made the front end a lot better than the old one.
It's an SUV, they'll never look as good as a car, but they're better looking than the Santa Fay... and Honda will always make a far superior vehicle to Hyundai or Mazda.
Mazda has really gotten their shit together over the past few years.
Yeeeeah. That's just not true. May have been when Hyundai was still releasing shitboxes like the Excel, but the cost of ownership is nearly identical between the Civic and Elantra with the Mazda 3 not far behind.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but based purely on looks, you'd have to pick the Tucson.
There's no way that Hyundai or Mazda make the quality of vehicle Honda does. It's not even close. Hyundai may have improved in the past few years over the complete shit they had been making for decades, but they still suck compared to Honda. Hondas last forever.
You may prefer their look, that's personal taste, but the quality pales in comparison.
How many Hyundai's did you test drive before you blindly followed your brand loyalty to the CR-V ?
Test drive? What's that going to tell me about how long it will last? I have driven plenty of Hyndais actually. My mom, my bother, 2 different aunts and my cousin have all had them. Only my one aunt has been a repeat customer. She's had like 3 or 4. Everyone else has sworn off of them.
You may love your Elantra. I admitted that I think it's a good looking car... and hell, yours may last for 10 years, but Hyundai just doesn't make the quality of car that Honda does. Maybe their new ones are the same quality I guess, but it'll take years to find out if they last, because everything they have made up until a few years ago just doesn't. Guess we'll find out in a few years if the 2012-13-14 cars are any good.
Your most reasonable post in this whole exchange. Hell, I wouldn't have bought an Elantra 5 years ago, but they make a completely different car now.
Isn't this years model of the civic getting very poor reviews? You don't like the design that's fine but what basis would you have to say don't count on them being as reliable as they've always been?
