GDT - BJ's @ Leafs | TSN 7:30PM EST

number17

Mod Squad
THe first game under Horachek didn't turn out so great, but other than the final score I think we did a lot of things well ... at least the SA was under 30, we outshot out opponent in like forever, and we actually out-possessed our opponent.

There's been a lot of criticisms on the team since the Carlyle firing, and ironically the firing of an incompetent coach has turned into a witchhunt for Kessel, for Phaneuf, for whoever that 'uncoachable player' is.

I feel now would be a good time for the team to go away on a road trip but nevertheless, we've got another game tonight. Let's hope we continue to trend in the right direction in how we play, and that it can actually produce results tomorrow.

Go Leafs Go!!!!

Scary game. BJ's are playing well, the Leafs are slipping in the standings, and are about to go on a tough trip. They desperately need two points here.

The lovebirds are reunited ... booo ...

I just don't get it ... IMO, it is best to separate the 3 weakest possession players on 3 different lines. I'd go Kadri-Kessel on #1, Santo - JVR on #2, and Bozak-Lupul on #3 if Lupul is healthy .. but I guess injuries play a role here too.

Are they? I can't find the lines. That's dissapointing.

I like your spreading out of the lines, (assuming Lupul is healthy,) and maybe that will happen eventually, but this is only his second game at the helm.
I'm more concerned with where Clarkson will waste a roster spot at. Will he be third or second line again? Will he be on any PP unit? I'm encouraged with how he rode the pine after not bothering to take the trailer on that shorty last game. Just more proof he doesn't belong anywhere near our PP. Our injuries are not so bad that Clarkson is all we have left.
Once that type of thinking begins to die around here, so too will the staunch loyalty to keeping the three stooges together on the top line. (And no, I don't really think they are stooges).

kadri-kessel really don't work very well together.

one guy loves to attack with speed. the other prefers to slow the game down.

one guy loves to cycle on the half wall and behind the net. the other guy wants nothing to do with the cycle.

the only thing they have in common is that they both like to have the puck in the neutral zone and over the blueline.

Twitter says: More good stuff from Shanny on TSN. "Ron Wilson was a good coach, but he doesn't coach here anymore." ...
... adds that Wilson would've been livid to have another coach rip his players.

Attaboy, Shanny. Give it right back to these self serving failures.

Perfect answer. Thanks, Shanny.
