Fine... Pleks is dog shit and the PP are chokers... Happy?Knock it off guys. I come here to find out the latest news on the Petry signing. I'm sure other Petry fans feel the same way --we humbly ask you to take your "Pleks is a choker" and the "power play is dogshit" rants elsewhere.
28. Wanted to close out the details on Jeff Petry's contract. He has a full no-move clause the length of this six-year deal. For the last three years there is a limited no-trade. So, there is a point where the Canadiens could theoretically deal him. The no-move is protection against waivers.

More interesting in that story is that Detroit wants a physical D to take pressure off Kronwall.
Emelin?

Ok then how about a larger deal centered around Emelin for Mantha? Other picks/prospects etc.For whom? We can't trade him just for cap relief to a divisional rival like Detroit.

Not sure where Holland has earned this rep as a great trade guru? He's the product of Jim Devellano setting up an amazing scouting & player development system (led by Andersson), and Holland being able to spend at will for UFAs & taking on contracts from "poor teams" in the 90's. His trade & UFA signing track record since the 2004 lockout hasn't been much to brag about IMO.the idea is to get a D who can play top 4 , we are trying to dump a 5th d man on their hands , Holland can see this
