Habs sign Jeff Petry to six-year, $33 million deal

Knock it off guys. I come here to find out the latest news on the Petry signing. I'm sure other Petry fans feel the same way --we humbly ask you to take your "Pleks is a choker" and the "power play is dogshit" rants elsewhere.

Well we obviously hope so. He is still young, mature and played great for us in pressure environment/situation. Hopefully this is the Petry we will get to see going forward.The good thing is that he elevate his game when it counted and that is obviously a positive sign.

the idea is to get a D who can play top 4 , we are trying to dump a 5th d man on their hands , Holland can see this

Not sure where Holland has earned this rep as a great trade guru? He's the product of Jim Devellano setting up an amazing scouting & player development system (led by Andersson), and Holland being able to spend at will for UFAs & taking on contracts from "poor teams" in the 90's. His trade & UFA signing track record since the 2004 lockout hasn't been much to brag about IMO.

He usually keeps his own players even if he tries and not get the top UFA's
