Leafs acquire Frederik Anderson from Ducks

Reimer is a sieve. Anti-clutch. No clutch gene. Whatever you want to call it. this guy folded faster than a cheap tent. DID NOT WANT.

How do you not trust this management group? Lou has a proven track record for goaltending.

I'm not willing to sit through the Reimer circus again. He and his cuckoo fanbase can fly off into the sunset.

seems like you could have got a better goalie for that price
or a similar goalie for cheaper

but time will tell

the fact zeke thinks it is not good probably means vezina time

Lamoriello on Andersen: "Acquiring him was the most important thing. The price was secondary."

Lamoriello: "You need two goaltenders to play."

Although he idolizes Patrick Roy, Andersen has been compared to Montreal star Carey Price, and he models some of his game after the Canadian Olympic gold medalist's clean, technical positional play. Andersen also emulates Price's skill with the puck, and his teammates have noticed.

''He's the best puck-handling goalie I've ever played with, and he wants to be a part of the team's defense,'' defenseman Ben Lovejoy said. ''He's a pleasure to play in front of.''

Ok, now that I love. Thats a dynamic we haven't had since Belfour. It makes the game so much easier for dmen.

Burch Andersen has a very good HD SV%, which is the key distinguishing feature of a starting goalie.

Andersen was also 6th in the NHL since 2010, in adjusted fenwick SV%.

Perfect.

People looking at numbers like sv% and gaa need to realize our scouting department likely has way more numbers to look at. Mouth breathers behind the keyboards need to relax on the cost. We just got a good goalie. I'm stoked.

Some ppl compare this to the Martin Jones trade. I hope they're right ... cause I still don't like it, but I can respect Lou's view on it and I hope he's right

high danger?
