I really don't like Marner on Bozak's wing.

Marner should be with Kadri and Komarov with Bozak.
 
Griffith is an interesting pickup, he had a humongous season in the AHL, and was not riding some super prospect's coat tail either. He has very good offensive instinct and vision, and is a dependable defensive player. He may get the Corrado treatment (meaning eased into the lineup very, very slowly) but as a RW he could be the 4th line RW, or he could also join Kadri's line as a defensive RW that has offensive skills.

Kadri/Komarov is the "checking line" though. No one else is really suited to that role. I definitely don't want to go back to Bozak getting those matchups.

No, and I think Babs is very clear on their strengths and weaknesses. He won't use Bozak in a defensive role.

Michalek may not be the best LW on that line, we'll see who Babs eventually uses on LW for that checking line.
 
Henny says it looks like Holland is starting at 4th line C on opening night, not Laich.

I'm pretty sure Carrick isn't a rookie. Regardless, this seems to be the trend for many teams this year. Youth movement.
 
Yep, Carrick lost his rookie status in 2013/14, when he played in 34 games for Washington.

We'll see what happens, but to me it looks like they've decided to sign him, and all they're waiting for is to see how they can fit him on the roster.

Which I guess will either be through a trade or more demotions.

When you are asked to act like you're part of the team ... I guess that means you really aren't???

Again, Prust is a goner I think that's a foregone conclusion. Best case scenario for him is they will sign him to a Marlies contract. (but the Marlies are pretty overstaffed too)

Unless there's a trade coming, they will probably send Laich and Brown to the Marlies for now, and keep Leivo and Griffith ... if Brown stays, then something else (trade, or waiver for Leivo) will have to happen

I dunno, they've explicitly said he won't be signed.
