Pretty much. Seeing what they went through in that country and thinking about two more waves of that is kinda depressing to think about though.

Well, the last time this happened(Spanish flu) we didn’t nail it out of the park on the 2nd wave so I’m hoping for a better outcome this time too

So, a dude who had Covid traveled across the United States for a sporting event, and upon arrival tested positive. After coming into contact with who knows how many people along the way and after landing.

This is pretty much how I picture the NHL & NBA's "hub city" approach going.

Yeah, that's the thing. How you can imagine hosting sporting events where people actually travel whatsoever is just completely foolishness. This is UFC, where it's what? Him and at most 5-10 people in his entourage? Now imagine that for a hockey team or a baseball team where you need 40-50 people in the group. The full quarantine method is the only way it would really work, and even at that, now you're packing hundreds of people together in a crowded space. One person sneaks out for a night on the town and comes back with the virus and now 30% of the league has to shut down for 2 more weeks.
