Honestly, I'd rather pay-up for them. Look at our situation right now. Matthews, Marner, Nylander entering year 7.

that’s the worst part. If you want to take a chance on Murray fine, but the sens agreed to trade down from a top 10 pick a week ago to move it.

There's red flags with everyone, but holy shit this is a bad, risky trade. And I', not sure where Ottawa had any say to only give up those picks and 25 % retention. Sens were pretty fucked with his contract

At the moment, Dubas's plan is for Matt Murray to be the Leafs' starting goalie for the final two years of Matthews' contract.

Absolutely correct.

Murray might be good. He’s way more likely to be hurt and/or shit. He’ll of a risk to take at nearly 5 million when you’re pressed up against the cap.
