Some general thoughts:

- I think the Hawks are a bit overrated here. Dejounte is a legitimate impact add, but I don't know if he's enough to bring together a group that just hasn't worked together. Less than the sum of their parts.

- There's been a lot of whining on NBA twitter this week whenever the Bulls are left off anyone's playoff lists, with a lot of the usual "lol Raptors"...but they were okay just okay last year, Demar & Vuc are now 33 and 32 respectively. Good players, but guys whose usage should be getting ramped down. They need to remain feature players. Still not enough depth or D here.

- Brooklyn is going to be such a melodrama. Especially if they start the season 10-10 or something.

- Heat probably needed to go for it this summer and didn't. Jimmy about to turn 33, they need healthy Kyle so bad but 36 is 36. They need to load manage our boy. They had him playing 34 minutes a night last year...get that shit to 29.

- I've gone over a bunch of the past data in a few analytics systems and I think I'm going to get my ticket early for not buying the Cavs hype. They're good, and will probably win 48-52 games, but I think we're about to hear some ECF & = Boston talk. Nope.

Trades are easy to make when you're tanking. But he just turned a top 5 defender and top 10 scorer into crap and picks.

Better turn those picks into something
Ainge the snake will create a competitive roster at some point

How many more fucken years can you keep disappointing in the playoffs

He flipped a bad contract into a half decade of picks as Gobert is solid but limited

Ainge is like Masai , they fix things rather kick the can down the road .

Fuck it , start over .

Thoughts on the west:

- I think this model is going to struggle with a bunch of stuff in GSW. Intangibles, Klay, and the trimumverate of high level kids that could break out into producers (that the model all have as replacement level players this year...I would bank on at least one of Wiseman, Kuminga or Moody turning into a real rotation quality player this year)

- LeGM has built the worst supporting cast in the west. I expect the trade rumbles to start up by mid season.

- Minnesota is some good trade deadline depth away from being a title contender problem. I don't like D'Lo on a good team though, and they're lacking quality behind him.

- NOP is maybe the most interesting and unpredictable team in the west. All they're missing is a high octane star to drive the bus and they're in the mix for the top half of the conference imo. If Zion is more of a 8-9 win player than a 3 win player (and he looked great in off season photos, best shape I've seen him in since Duke), NOP is interesting AF. Well balanced attack, good role players.

- Clippers under rated or over the hill? I'm honestly not sure. Need to see Kawhi first. If he comes back as an impact guy, they're a contender. If he's what the model thinks he is, a high end 2 way role player...they're fucked.
