Was Lemaire only ever a top 3-4 player once on any of the 8 cup teams he was on. Early career 3-peat Beliveau, Cornoyer, Worsley, Tremblay were all better/more important. 72-73 he was definitely one of your most important 3-4 players with Dryden, Lapointe and Serge Savard. In the 70's dynasty years though fuck he was barely a top 10 player for you. Lafleur, Robinson, Dryden, Savard, Mahovlich, Lapointe, etc, etc.

Dave Keon was the best player on 4 title teams. No worse than 2nd most important by Bower.

Another guy who was really good, but his career was amplified by playing on a dynasty club with truly all world/all time players.

Keon would have been 2C at worst on any Habs team of his era. He was better than Henri. Would have been Beliveau's 2C.

The man who was chiefly responsible for taking away 4 of those 5 cups in the middle of that incredible ass run of championships is Dave Keon, and Davey wasn't around until 60-61, be thankful of that. Put some fucking respeck on his name.

Keon bent Beliveau over in his prime and took 4 titles from him. Lemaire would have to ask politely to carry Mr Keon's sticks to the rink for him.

Beliveau at 39 was better than Lemaire at 25 dreamt of being when they played together.

Lemaire literally changed the defensive game for forwards and was a much higher ppg than Keon and shut down opposing top centers and won 8 cups.Your argument is laughable.

Keon was the greatest leaf! So he's beloved. That's great.

Doesn't mean he's better than many many and I mean many other players.

He's currently a one trick pony. I mean he has a heck of a shot and his accuracy is ridiculous but beyond that? Not much.

He's improving and I think will get better in the other areas but right now? Pure sniper.
