At least in this version they got a good actor as Oppenheimer. In the 1989 Paul Newman film they inexplicably cast "Howling Mad" Murdoch from A-Team as Oppenheimer.

Pretty sure they left the ending vague on purpose so that each viewer could interpret it for themselves.

And unrelated, the AC was out in the theatre and it was pretty fucking hot. Everyone stuck it out.

Forget woke vs anti-woke…..I’m depressed a movie about a doll, is doubling a movie about one of the most significant scientific accomplishments in human history.

Sound of Freedom? Yeah, for anyone who denied the depth of the pool of Q nutters in the US, this should be eye opening.

must have been the whitby landmark imax. it was uncomfortably warm but oppenheimer was fantastic regardless. we loved it

Yeah, and for what it is, Opp has done well with $175M so far. Apparently the budget was $100m, double it for the marketing, and it will definitely make money, have a long life on streamers/tv, and likely do some damage at awards shows. The Nolan name is more important than any actor in the film. Modern day Spielberg who can't really go wrong.

I'd never even heard of Sound of Freedom. Is it even in Canada?

It is, but I don't think it's grabbing the nutjobs the way it is in the U.S. Profit-wise the film is a crazy hit.
