Then the TV networks were muting it. In the arena the boos were plenty loud enough and during O Canada the crowd sang loud enough to make one think that Quebeckers love being Canadian. I can remember going to games in Montreal years ago when O Canada got booed.

There wasn't as much booing in Laval on Friday because when the line "and the rockets red glare..." comes along, the crowd all yells "ROCKET!" on that word. But everyone was singing when O Canada was played. And the crowd at Laval games is decidedly more francophone than at Habs games.

You're changing the subject.

Monty's save percentage supports my argument. The TEAM would be better not having to chase games all the time. When you chase a game you open yourself up to more.

Stop overlooking the nuances of the game, you know this but refuse to incorporate in your analysis.

Where I'm concerned my expectations are above a 0.900 sv % for my starter. That's where it starts for me. Montembeault is simply not good enough and when he's tired? He's even worse.

Again, to me, this is on the coach. If your team is capable of coming back in games then not playing Dobes is dumb.

Rest your goalie, he's not Price.

No, he's riding my coattails my friend. I don't think Monty is a quality starting goalie, he's a split timer being forced to play as a work horse. He's Koivu and every other second line center we've forced to be a first.

Monty is a 1B at best and shouldn't play over 40-45 games a year.

That's on the coach and management.

Newhook is a third liner forced to play second line center. Just like Monty is forced to be a work horse. You're getting what they are capable of, as I said, not good enough.

It must be a coincidence that they drafted 3 goalies in ‘23, including Fowler.

I think Monty can be good and has been good, when rested. We've all seen it. It's pretty obvious.

This is an indictment of MSL not trusting his young backups.
