Oh it's deliberate. I know how bad it is and I really don't like what I'm seeing but to deny the hyperbole here is also deliberate and in bad faith.

Except...there is no hyperbole. I said what I said and there's literally nothing that has gone on down there over the last 4 months that would suggest it was something wild.

There are no guarantees of safety when dealing with US immigration anymore. None. Regardless of who you are, or where you're from. They're arresting fucking judges bro. You think a Canadian "accidentally" ending up in CECOT would be beyond the pale here? GTFO.

to be clear, I am not actually expecting zeke to be sent to El Salvador.

but yes, I'm gonna make jokes about people being deported to El Salvador cause it is happening for real and without following due process or the constitution, etc.

I'm aware of visa regulations and the leeway that was given to Canadians previously and also aware that the leeway has evaporated.

Sure they're now nitpicking and it's ridiculous but it should have been expected. I won't enter any country without proper paperwork already in hand. The issue here is that the norm for decades has changed.

The issue here has nothing to do with paperwork norms that have changed. Had she simply been put on the next plane back to Canada, no one would care.
