2nd Rnd '25 Playoffs: Leafs vs Panthers - Flo-Rida them onto the ECF - LFG!

Starting to lean towards closer towards Arty's source on illness (causing chronic fatigue) over injury now. The back injury thing makes some sense too, but I can't wrap my head around it being the primary cause. Lots of stem cell therapy for illness available in Germany and quite frankly he hasn't been the same since last year's mystery illness. Guy gets 69 goals last year, suffers mystery illness and is not the same since. That's a touch too coincidental for me.

I had thought that, but his ability to shoot from any body position is what he is lacking...hard to see how a sickness affects that.

It for sure lines up with back injury too, but if it's illness resulting in chronic fatigue (or even joint inflammation), a shot like his requires lots of energy and power, two things that a chronic illness would limit him on.

But back injury is possible too. I just would have expected they'd let him rest it and recover all year if it were that; nothing helps back injuries more than rest. I just get the vibe that they believe it's something that's here to stay and he needs to work through.

Chronic fatigue doesn't really explain him not letting a real Auston wrister rip in the last 3-4 months though.

Yeah, I don’t see how that kind of condition would completely take away his wrist shot.

It’s got to be some kind of physical injury.

Except skate. But yeah, it does line up too. Whatever it is, it's bad. His loss of explosiveness is what's most noticable to me, though that can be explained by a bad back too, absolutely.

I am not discounting Arty's source! That would also line up with the physical ailments that we are discussing. #TeamArty
