I doubt Marner thinks like this, but going to a team that isnt necessarily playoff ready might do him a great service. Give himself and the public a year or two to forget what a post season bitch he is and when he returns to the post season in a couple years for a team just getting there, it wont be as big of a story

Nobody's immune from criticism in those elimination games.
I've been all over them for years about it. Previously, everyone would always be blaming the goalies, the depth, etc. This is the first time everyone is suddenly getting on the case of all the top guys, but it went from no blame for years to totally ballistic in just one season.
