2025-2026 Off Season Thread - The Rehappening

So Mitch is 5th all-time in leafs points, but Auston will kick him out of the top-5 by November, and Willy will pass him sometime the season after, to put him into 7th. Tavares (248pts back) and Rielly (228pts) also have a solid chance at passing him at some point, tho itll be close, but that would put him in 9th. So he'll be only borderline top-10 by the time he retires.

Assists he fares a little better. He's 4th right now. It'll take a few years but likely all of Matthews (194 back), Nylander (170), Rielly (94) all pass him a few years from now to drop him to 7th. But tough to see anyone else passing him there any time soon so he'll likely stay top-10 in assists when he retires,

He's 14th in goals at 221 but Knies should knock him down a slot by the end of his current deal. Not sure who else would pass him - maybe Kadri if we trade for him (60 goals back).

Should be a footnote in the franchise record books by the time he's done playing. so that's nice.

Leafs still need to bring someone in the culture shift that locker room. A Gary Roberts type.

Sadly, looking like Perry is the only option for the moment.

Weird no rumours of puck moving dmen after pizza boy brought it up after the season as a need for the team.

this is a human person?

I'm still confused how a Toronto kid could do this with such unfinished business.

BTW, I'm getting annoyed by Vegas getting it's ass kissed for "Amazing climate and Suburbs". WTF? I mean, fun place for a weekend but that weather is pretty brutal (And much colder than vast majority think it is in winter). Toronto has way better suburbs.

Because none of that mattered to him. He was always a mercenary. He was willing to tolerate Toronto as long as his ego was sufficiently stroked and we kept him among the highest paid in the league.
The fucker had all that. I'm sure he wasn't driven to make a complete 180 in his life because of some random online comments that he'd get wherever he goes.
