I feel your pain. I’m dealing with the teeth issues now too from the damage the radiation did. Haven’t had to have any removed yet. Fingers crossed
but I am going to have a crown after I heal up from this.

I drove home from the hospital in Chapel hill in that mess yesterday evening. Had quite a few scary moments between pittsboro and Fayetteville. It was uglyChantal was a beyotch. We got too much rain (no damage) that put the town's (Hillsborough) drinking water offline, so no consuming, tooth brushing, etc until it's been boiled. The town's wastewater processing system is down too, though I don't want to guess where that's going. We live outside of town on well and septic, but no power means no water or A/C. Lucky ones got 6" of rain, I've heard a few who got over 8" in just a few hours. On our way back from a pot luck supper at the horse farm last night, we ran into two places where the roads were impassbale from standing/running water. We were fortunate to get power back on before 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. Some weren't so lucky.
Here's a couple pictures from Lake Michie in Bahama. I was fishing out there on Saturday and it was at normal pool elevation and clearer. Today around Noon it was 11'-12' high, with maybe 2' of ramp showing. The walkways to the docks were below water. The lake looks muddy enough to plow. The bridge across the Flat River on State Forest Road was completely submerged.

I hope those hit hard are able to get back to normal life soon.

That looks pretty fun, actually.Tom Dundon has a new development opportunity. His Pacific Elm Properties was chosen by the RDU Airport Authority to develop 136 acres of what used to be part of Lake Crabtree County Park. Pacific Elm’s VP of Development told the Authority that they have in mind recreational activities such as climbing, skating, zip-lining and mountain biking. There might also be food and retail as part of the development.
Yeah, if they build it out with all that stuff, even us slackers who haven’t gotten on a bike since adolescence would enjoy that. That looks pretty fun, actually.
