Leafs are still a dangerous cup contender if AM plays to his former level and Stolarz stays healthy.
Tho I would also try to add a dynamic d-man
I, for one, have never heard anything negative about the Leafs come from these Habs fans previously, and want to see where this goes. You've spent the last few years saying that they'd be better without Marner. Why the change of heart?
I don't think Leafs even tried last year. This year, I dunno.ultimately he'll end up walking I think. if anyone wanted to trade for him they would have by now.
There were 5 forwards with 0 goals for the Leafs in the playoffs that played all games. Robertson played 3 with the lowest TOI of anyone in those games and wasn't one of the 5.All I wanted. All I want, is to see him get 15-20 games with a bit of freedom and lineup security, played in the top 6 and see what happens.
We've managed him like we want him to fail.
Except they’re obviously not getting ditched at this point. They are valued members of Bradley Treliving’s 2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs.

Nothing has changed. You still cant win. But not because you let Marner go. Because you let him go and have, so far, not bothered even trying to adequately replace him. From games 1-82 Marner was an asset. From game 83 onward, a liability. You don't really need to replace regular season Marner because you still have 34, 88, and 91. But like Marner, 34 is also a playoff dog (not as bad as Marner was, but still not great) You need him to step up or acquire someone who will. This world, for many years on this board when we had habs fans telling us that we can't win.
We're just pointing out when people speak out of both sides of their mouth, that's all.
