I think Texas gets in, and represents a very scary wild card team, but i think they chase down Seattle or Houston before they do Boston.

It would be funny though, agreed.
 
The Yesavage move was on the wall the minute they started treating him like a RP in AAA

Im assuming like Yimi, Sandlin's season is over.

Best guess is Borucki ( ass) is gonzo for Yesavage.

Come playoff time you can decide which of the SP you arent using ( Berrios and Bassitt) should replace 2 names above with Lauer/Nance/Yariel/Fisher/Yesavage being the options i would think

Loperfido and France IMO should be the sacrifices when Bo and Tony come back
 
Loperfido has really just been excellent every chance he gets. Guy is hitting .349 closing in on 100 ABs, and who knows what a regular spot might have gotten out of him. I think I'd have to keep him. France has been useful, but I guess they will love Falafel till the end of time. Gimenez still just irks me, even though I know they can't drop him. Crazy how deep and good a team this is.

Hoffman moreso needs to be treated with kids gloves then dropped completely.

Im still kinda worried about their RP from the left side. Little can be a nightmare, Lauer has been seldom used and bad since moved from the rotation and Borucki/Fluharty/Briuhl etc cannot be used in a playoff game.

Loperfido and Lukes do the same job, there simply isnt room for both with Springer/Varsho/Santander/Schneider/Straw on the roster, and i think Straw is fairly important for his glove and speed, even if i hate using him as a PH

They love IKF for some reason, and if the reason was being in a platoon with Gimenez while Barger is in a platoon with Clement i'd be much happier with the arrangement, but these guys love the versatility and D of this bunch and are unaware some are not that great hitters.

France has hit well, sure, but the fact he is strictly a 1B hurts the hell out of him IMO, and i suspect if Santander was healthy he wouldnt have been acquired in the first place.

I suppose you could send down Davis and then DFA France closer to the end of the season, but that doesnt sit well with me
 
Thought you had to be on the 40-man by Sept 1 to be eligible for the playoff roster.

It will be fun to see Yesavage in MLB anyway.

Who plays first if Vladdy gets injured and France is gone?

I think two Loperfido and Lukes are better than IKF and maybe even one of the relievers. I don't know, Loperfido has just impressed the fuck out of me this season.

I think it's possible that's changed a few years ago.

I cant imagine why they wouldnt add him and DFA Orelvis on Aug 29th as opposed to 10 days later
