What Women Wish They’d Known Before Trying to Get Pregnant
Many Americans lack basic fertility knowledge. More robust sex ed could help.
Sounds a lot like Canada. Minus the ten bucks. So what did ten bucks co-pay get me in health care last night in SF?
▪︎ consultation with three doctors (great intake and 2 awesome nurses in advance), one in intensive care, two in emergency
▪︎ free Lyft ride up the hill about three convoluted blocks from intensive care to emergency
▪︎ blood work (skeighty-eight tubes drawn)
▪︎ two EKGs, one ea at intensive & emergency
▪︎ multiple blood pressure checks (through the roof at intensive; back down to normal after hanging around emergency)
▪︎ CT scan
▪︎ MRI
▪︎ follow up consultation w/er doc
▪︎ Long evening, but test results rec'd b4 leaving ER. Great staff.
Results? I'm not having nor did I have a stroke (could change dep on fuckin' Leafs), but fer cryin' out loud get with primary care physician for more follow up. Already got appt.
Ten bucks co-pay. Right now I get to keep my plan, in spite of gov shutdown.
Fuck you, Donnie.
Yeah, there usually isn't a co-pay with my plan, plus I honestly don't keep up with all of the "rules;" just glad it works out in my favor. My last "working-for-the-man" job was with my home state's JC (Judicial Council). Was there just long enough to earn ridic coverage for life. Nevada has pretty solid coverage offerings, too, but I need to work them out w/o fucking up my CA coverage and/or costing myself an arm & leg. Details at eleven, as is sometimes said.Sounds a lot like Canada. Minus the ten bucks.
fypnext he's gonna start telling us to chug motor oils
what about the testicle one
The other two will be fine.what about the testicle one
This appears to be a tale of poor methodology but it is true that all single individual studies are shit and shouldn't be extrapolated from unless they're replicated in multiple studies with good methodology. The reason some studies are all over the news is often because they are shocking outliers that make for great headlines, not because they are medical breakthroughs.
Think of each individual study (with proper methodology) like trying to evaluate how good a player is based on one game of nerdies using xgf%. Now if you have a full season of data and see that single game performance is replicated over and over again, we can be pretty convinced of the caliber of player.
