I think two major occurrences solidified Dobeš,

1) Goalie coach change. His positioning improved and he’s been far more aggressive challenging shooters.

2) Calling up Fowler. Dobeš knew it was now or never.

Also finally giving up on Monty. Dobes was 3rd goalie for a stretch and didn’t play for close to a month.

Freaking Raptors play by play guy on the radio ruined the fun, said Habs were leading 2-1 with only 8 shots. I knew right then the Habs would win. The 3rd period taped replay I watched was anticlimatic.

Every game this series that I watch from the very beginning we won. Meaning that I didn’t miss the first five minutes because of whatever else is going on in my life in that moment.
