Hot take, but Valenzuela is a starting catcher

Naw, at least not a good one yet, but he's a high end backup that can fill in if your guy goes down and you should be fine.

If he can ever develop the hit tool, than sure, but he's an elite defensive C with pop and there is much value in that.

Tyler Heinemann should not survive Kirk returning.

When pitchers start making adjustments and when we see how he reacts to that, then you can at least start the conversation...but that's just the hitting.

There is no doubt he is a elite or near elite defensive C.
