Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

Mitch is still a playoff choker.

Congrats to him for beating up on a couple of non-playoff teams from the pillow-fight division. Now we’ll see if he keeps it up against an opponent that actually finished in the top-16 of the NHL standings.

It was too easy for Tampa and Boston to shut down four guys because there wasn’t enough depth behind them. Covid cap didn’t help in adding that. But also always seemed to have the inferior goaltending and special teams.

Then by the end they were like fuck it, skill isn’t working just give me 5 Booshes and Schenns.

Hedman probably should have gone #1

He was a 20 point defender for the first bunch of seasons of his career and was considered pretty busty until he hit 25-26 yrs old, there's no way that was a better 18 yr old prospect than Tavares. He kind of proves my point. Hedman had to turn into an elite 2 way norris winning defender to be about equal in career value to Tavares.

The only real difference between them is team success, not personal.

Taveres played really well with Kadri when both played in London.

Sir, signing shit players was never my fix.

Ever.

I was always, and remain, in favour is getting players who raise their games in the playoffs.

With all due respect, in the history of all of these diagnosis, here and everywhere else, they never come with an actual list of names of who these players are who always raise their games in the playoffs.

Because I've been assured that David Clarkson, Dave Bolland, Colby Armstrong, Simmons, Marleau, Foligno, Bunting, Acciari's, etc, etc that raise their game in the playoffs but it never actually happens.

We always add those guys. Those are the only guys we ever fucking add on purpose.

You had a decent amount of 15-20 goal scorers. But that depth laid goose eggs in the post. Can’t really forecast your unsung heroes

In all of our years of adding that guy, only one of them was actually good. Ryan O'reilly. But that's probably because he's actually just a really fucking good hockey player. Because he wasn't tough. Just smart, really good, not soft. But he has a glorious beard, so something something.

Despite your moniker Habhater, you should join us. We watch to see Habs win, not to compile more crisp data

I consider it an honour to be invited by you sir.

I was previously invited years ago to a gazette forum and had many interesting discussions with Wehave and Count.

We really fucked up the blueline by the last year of Dubas though for real.

Half the blueline was Benoit, Edmundson, Lyubushkin. Like no wonder the skilled forwards look better elsewhere.
