Whether the replacements they bring in will be good or not aside, the organization did really need a housecleaning after being just trash for nearly the whole Matthews era so far. The team was always pretty good, but not good enough. Same with the pipeline, to the extent we actually kept and used the picks. But then TreBiff took us completely off the rails, to the point that the core five or whatever couldn't even salvage things for once - total debacle.
The only bad thing here is that the draft was really good, and I hope we're not getting rid of the people actually responsible for it. I feel like we can't possibly be, because if they were firing everyone, would they really have executed on their draft plans before kicking them to the curb? Seems unlikely. Could it be that it was all Chaykes, Mats, and a few key guys? But then you contrast the draft with July 1, and don't know what to make of things, since one was so good and one was so questionable.
