OT: Health and Nutrition

Despite the great weather, mid August is a mental illness nightmare for many hockey fans

Gavin McKenna in a month and Kawhi Leonard in 2 months is one hell of a way to get out of the August mental illness slumber. It's a shame that mindzeye is going on zombzempic and won't enjoy any of it.

Ive been on one for a little while. Down 40lbs (trending towards 50lbs), probably some muscle but feel way better and just did a full house move and can still get the job done.
I guarantee I've lost muscle. I'm carrying 90 less lbs... as much fat as I had, there was a lot of muscle under there from carrying that weight. I absolutely should have done some weight training over the past year. That said, I have been significantly more active and motivated over that period as well. My energy level is through the roof compared to where it was before GLPs. I've become one of those people who are always looking for things to do around the yard or projects around the house.

I think that's part of the problem in the first place. When your food signalling hits a little too hard, it's difficult to avoid the good stuff, make good choices, etc. Fwiw, I'm not looking at blasting full dose like a lot of these people are doing. Seeing these people who are in a rush and trying to lose 10-12+ pounds a month seems crazy to me.
Yeah, if you don't have 80+ to lose, there's no huge hurry. I've been working my way down to a maintenance dose for a while now. I'm at around 3mg a week now. Will probably settle in around 1-2mg a week... maybe even every 10 days.

I don't know if I'll ever go off if the science is showing that it's beneficial long term.

Which one are you on again?

I thought the max dose for ozempic was 2mg

The cardiologist is trying to convince Papa Presto get on the zempies. Papa Presto is skeptical and while I play doctor on forumice, I don't play doctor to him, I just tell him to listen to the doc.

Come to think of it, he's fat, old, has heart issues and pre-diabetic. If there was ever a drug for him...

This is basically my plan, yeah.

Being skinny fat is a curse. I'm fat. But I look skinny and my bmi is average so I don't get no fat drugs. Might as well dig in and get obese so I can get in on that action.
