2026 NHL UFA/Trade Thread

[worm]

Marchenko is the better player.

Better offensively but they have 3 of the same wingers now.

Knies was overated but is younger and will be cheaper.

I doubt Cowan is in the trade.

[Sal_Butera]

It seems Marchenko want muchly more turnip than mlse boyars can give.

Really??

[Sal_Butera]

Marchenko is the better player.

On PP not 5-on-5

Marchenko will have better “stats”, but Knies type players are difficult to find as key roster construction pieces

[Krustchev]

On PP not 5-on-5

He's the better player, period. His even strength advanced stats. are actually good.

[habsfan]

Feels like a trade for the sake of a trade. Marchenko is a better player but not 5 million dollars better

[Habsy]

Marchenko is the better player.

Not by double the salary he isn’t.
