Again with the "cards" analogies. And just like Trump he's dumb enough to think that it's possible to win a trade war predicated on tariffs. Tariffs are like nuclear war. There are no winners, only losers. American exceptionalism hasn't lowered the price of eggs nor will it lower the price of lumber or aluminum if Canada imposes tariffs on them.
In any case, neither Canada nor Mexico can acquiesce to Trump's demands because what he is demanding is capitulation followed, in Canada's case, by annexation or enslavement. He is trying to bully us into a bad deal and like everything else he is trying to do the correct response is to refuse to comply.
Let everything burn but do not comply. I don't want to hear people whining about their stock portfolios. This is a war for our survival, nothing less. We need to hit them with everything we've got. If we're going down, we are taking them with us.
