The San Francisco Giants could ship out multiple stars on long-term contracts before the Aug. 3 trade deadline.

The Giants are open to offers for first baseman Rafael Devers, shortstop Willy Adames, and third baseman Matt Chapman, according to Buster Olney of ESPN.

Buy low on Devers? Or is he done?

Where do you put him? Okamoto is pretty position locked at 3B and looking like a ~3 WAR starting 3B even if there are no adjustments Popkins makes with him to get more consistent contact and this is all we ever get out of his hit tool.

I'm cool with Devers as a DH though I guess, he's pretty bad defensively. Appears to be okay at 1B though and can give Vlad some days off. Basically, he would be us pulling the pin on George.

Adames is the interesting one to me. He's been brutal this year, but he's basically Gimmy with plate patience and a 30 hr stick. 26 million until 2031 isn't bad either considering Gimmy is making 17 million to a huge step down.

That's a real neat bible story that dude's referencing on his hat, though. Genesis 9:11-16.

It takes place right after God ended up in a bad mood one day and decides to kill almost the entirety of humanity and all land-based life on earth with a global flood. But then afterwards, to give some blessed reassurance to the tattered remnants of humanity that have survived this holocaust, he promises that he won't conduct a merciless mass slaughter of human life on earth with water again. And as a a sign of this sacred promise, he invents the rainbow.

Wait, you might ask, why isn't he just promising to not kill all humans again, instead of only promising he won't use water again? Well the answer to that is, shut your face and look at the pretty rainbow. Oh, and stone gay people to death. Because killing millions of humans and wiping out entire civilizations because you're a wee bit cranky is moral, but a bit of butt-fucking between friends? That's wrong man. Crosses the line.
