2025-26 Canes Miscellaneous Thread

After some driving around at 7am was able to find a copy of today’s News and Disturber and the Canes special edition insert is really something. Really nice collector piece if you can find one today folks.
 
Fortunately for me I'm a sucker for a printed paper in my hands and still get daily delivery. We made sure to grab our copy today from our driveway EARLY for fear that someone would be driving around pilfering copies from neighborhoods and then selling them on eBay.

That is probably very likely, one Food Lion store manager this morning actually said their daily 430am newspaper drop was suddenly not there like most other mornings…
 
I'm not certain that there should be so much angst over todays copy of the N&O.

I would think they would set up a process so you could order one even a month from now for a considerable fee.

Not sure about the papers....but you can order the book which will have the same stuff, plus some....for $35.95

You could take it a step further and say why not have the N&O print out tens of thousands of those bad boys for sale tomorrow all over downtown Raleigh…talk about a targeted audience…😀
 
Supposedly the N&O is going to be supplying the usual print edition outlets with more copies of today's (Friday's) paper tomorrow (Saturday). So if you got shut out today, you might want to give the stores another look early tomorrow morning.
 
If anyone wants to park near the start of the parade, and if W. Morgan St. is open, 850 W. Morgan is my office and we have about a dozen places.

Just clean up after yourself or I'll track you down!!!
 
After this cup win and his overall success as a player and now top coach - Rod should be a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. Shoulda been in already in my opinion, but it should be a no brainer

I don’t disagree, but keep in mind that in Hall of Fame terms, coaching and playing are two distinct categories. They probably shouldn’t be, but they are. So if Rod wasn’t in solely as a player, then the Cup as a coach doesn’t really factor in.

Also don’t discount Ron Francis being on the selection committee. There have been several veiled reports about Francis big footing Rod’s candidacy and he remains a petty, petty man.

We will know today - both he and Eric Staal are on the ballot.

Eddie Olczyk is also on the committee. Double ugh.
