1st Rnd '25 Playoffs: The Battle of Ontario V - More of the Same - LFG!

Laughton was acquired to be our 3rd line centre, I’d like to see him given a proper look there and Domi in the top 6 where he’s given a bigger role.

They're the checking line. They get the toughs. Call them the 3rd line or the 4th line doesn't really matter i don't think.

The Robertson line will get similar TOI as them but in offensive usage.

5v5

main lines:

Knies-Matthews-Marner: 11:24
Domi/Hberg-Tavares-Willy: 9:54
Lorentz-Laughton-Jarnkrok: 8:48
McMann-Domi/Hberg-Robby: 8:00

odd lines on for one shift/partial shift:

Knies-Laughton-Jarnkrok: 1:36 --> not sure if this was two shifts or one long extended shift.
Lorentz-Laughton-Holmberg: 0:42
McMann-Holmberg-Marner: 0:36
Knies-Tavares-Nylander: 0:36
Holmberg-Tavares-Marner: 0:36
Knies-Domi-Marner: 0:24
Domi-Holmberg-Robertson: 0:24
Holmberg-Matthews-Marner: 0:18
McMann-Tavares-Robertson: 0:18
McMann-Domi-Marner: 0:18
McMann-Holmberg-Nylander: 0:18

1st Period: Unadjusted: TOR 0.92xg (59.4%) - OTT 0.63xg (40.6%) --- Adjusted: TOR 0.90xg (58.4%) - OTT 0.64xg (41.6%)
2nd Period: Unadjusted: TOR 0.12xg (16.4%) - OTT 0.61xg (83.6%) --- Adjusted: TOR 0.12xg (16.2%) - OTT 0.62xg (83.8%)
3rd Period: Unadjusted: TOR 0.29xg (21.0%) - OTT 1.09xg (79.0%) --- Adjusted: TOR 0.29xg (20.9%) - OTT 1.10xg (79.1%)

Not sure why the score adjustments weren't more significant in the 3rd period tbh.

Just cuz it's my duty:

Knies-Matthews-Marner: 11:24, 28.2xgf% (-2.36), 100.0gf% (+5.21)

Domi-Tavares-Nylander: 6:48, 4.4xgf% (-3.70), 50.0gf% (+0.00)
Holmberg-Tavares-Nylander: 3:06, 75.0xgf% (+2.71), 50.0gf% (+0.00)

McMann-Holmberg-Robertson: 4:18, 14.3xgf% (-0.70), 50.0gf% (+0.00)
McMann-Domi-Robertson: 3:42, 63.6xgf% (+0.51), 100.0gf% (+16.05)

Lorentz-Laughton-Jarnkrok: 8:48, 55.0xgf% (+0.82), 48.2gf% (-0.47)

McCabe-Tanev: 15:30, 19.6xgf% (-2.16), 100.0gf% (+3.83)

Rielly-Carlo: 13:54, 3.3xgf% (-3.63), 49.5gf% (-0.09)

Benoit-OEL: 12:54, 57.8xgf% (+1.07), 50.0gf% (+0.00)

So yeah, stick with the changed version of the 2nd and 3rd lines.

And hope the 1st line can be better.
1st line really should be completely dominating

If they're healthy then no changes in the Sens lineup looks like, though Cousins coming in for Highmore is possible I guess. For the leafs, just the holmberg-domi swap changes for game 2:

not counting any chicks yet, because 1 game legit means nothing and if we duck up tonight the sens are right in the driver's seat.

but I did want to see how we compare against the Bolts' and Panthers' initial playoff lineups. Note that i'm sticking Ekblad in for Balinskis for the Panthers given that his suspension ends in 2gms. I'm also sticking Bjorkstrand in the Bolts' lineup even though he's significantly injured atm. Bolts also don't seem to know if they're going with 7D or not so I have 7D in there and 12F even though that's illegal. One of the 4th line wingers would come out if they go 7D.
