Red Wings released him from the PTO.
Wilson was offered an in-person hearing which means the suspension can be more than 5 games. The hearing is TBD but they open on Wednesday, so it should be tomorrow or Tuesday.

I think 10 games would send the appropriate message ... which is "knock it off, jerk"
Agree, 10 is best. I was encouraged that they announced the hearing so soon after the game ended. Maybe that’s a good omen.

Tom Wilson’s hearing is Wednesday morning. Caps host Boston that night, I don’t think he’ll need to worry about getting there in time for the pre-game skate. And when he’s suspended, can he even participate in the banner ceremony?

Wilson sure has earned his stripes...almost everything written and discussed on the hit today called for a 10 game minimum suspension. If the NHL goes less than 10 it’s a joke, period.
