2019-Whenever Misc. Grab Bag Thread

Good on ya ... nobody I know seems to be able to get an actual appointment at a Wake County Walgreens, so you're apparently a lucky boy. I'm on the call list for my local Walgreens for end of day leftovers, but I'll be happy enough to make the drive tomorrow to get this thing done. I'm going too busy with work starting Wednesday to spend this much time on finding a slot.

In case anyone wants to know my secret, I used this website on Saturday night:

I find myself zombie-ing out for five or ten minutes at a time watching the live feed from the Iceland volcano. The thing's like a bottomless Bessemer converter.

Finally got an actual Covid vaccine appointment and as predicted, I'm dragging down to a Walgreens in Fayetteville. I had one in Henderson slip through my clutches ... that would have saved me about 20 minutes drive time each way. Meh. I'll take what I can get. First dose tomorrow, 2nd in mid-April and some business travel looming in May ... let's do this freaking thing.

Oh. I'm also planning to send and/or take my Daughter down to Dunn on Friday. Harnett Health is doing an all comers walk-in only clinic on Friday 3/26 at the City of Dunn Community Center if anyone is interested. Dunn's an easy drive down I95 from Raleigh and the Community Center is super easy to find. I'm just more comfortable with an actual appointment for myself. I really need to get this wrapped up before the end of April.

I’ve heard nightmares about the Walgreens wait times. Which Walgreens? I went to the mass vaccination site at the Crown Coliseum and got in and out in an hour.

Walgreens opened up a whole slew of local appointments on Sunday afternoon...my wife and I both found appointments in Garner for this week.

US Hwy 70 location. I showed up 10 minutes before my appt, had to wait about 5 minutes to check in, then another 15 minutes to get my shot. Pretty easy. StarMed has a shot clinic for later this week at the Wake Tech South location.

With all you guys getting vaccinated, if the governor increases allowable seating to 25% of capacity, we can have home crowds rivaling what we'd get in a midweek game with Atlanta in 2003. (I'm talking actual bodies that show up, not listed attendance).

That would be a bit under 5,000 people. Maybe not Atlanta, but Calgary for sure.

I'm thinking about going to the 4/29 game vs DET if I can get a "pod" the right size; that would be the 1st home game 2 wks past our dose #2. It might not work out schedule wise, so if not, then definitely one of the May games.
