I will cop to the fact that half of my intention with mentioning this is for Bill's reaction. You know, him being a Michigan Tech grad and all that.
 
Gottlieb. I remember covering a Roy Williams press conference and someone asked him about a comment Gottlieb made on the cbs show. Roy said Gottlieb? You mean the little guy who doesn’t know how to put his shorts on correctly? No comment. 🤣

He was referencing the time Doug tried to enter a game while wearing his game shorts backwards.

According to WRAL's website (also has the schedule for Fox), they're showing Commanders/Eagles at 1pm on Sunday. And frankly, I don't care where anybody comes down on the Panthers/Redskins/Commanders divide. Raleigh has always been a Panthers market since the first season of the team. So, this is kind of a big deal

And ... in actuality, WRAL did NOT air the Panthers' game.

Shame that he passed, but the flood of teammates' stories has been great to see. Rickey was as colorful a character as MLB has had to offer in my adult lifetime. RIP, dude.

One of the most exciting athletes to watch of all time, in any sport. He was the ideal player for small ball.
